6.1 Changing the presser foot
Prerequisite:
The correct ‹presser foot› for the selected pattern is ready for use.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to an unexpected start-up
The foot controller is on the floor. This can lead to the machine starting up
unexpectedly if the foot controller is activated by, for example, a child, a
sufficiently heavy pet or accidental contact.
Always unplug the power plug before replacing the foot controller.
CAUTION
Risk of injury posed by breaking needles
If the incorrect presser foot is used, the needle may strike the presser foot
and thus be bent or broken; parts may move uncontrollably.
Always use the correct presser foot.
NOTICE
Material damage arising from selecting the wrong presser
foot
If the incorrect presser foot is used, the needle may strike the presser foot
and thus be bent or broken.
Always take care to select the correct needle.
