1.3 After sewing
Please perform the following task after sewing:
Clean the machine and remove small pieces of thread, lint or dust.
Switch off the machine.
Always unplug the ‹power plug›.
Set the machine down in such a manner that it cannot fall.
Keep the machine out of reach of children and animals.
Exchange needles regularly. Worn or damaged needles pose a hazard.
1.4 Tips for a long-life span
To ensure a long service life, take note of the following items:
Do not expose the machine to direct sunlight, moisture or high levels of
humidity.
Clean the machine regularly. Perform these tasks thoroughly and at
least once a year. In the event of increased use, more frequently.
When cleaning the machine, use only dry or damp cloths.
Never use benzine, thinners or other chemical agents for the purposes
of cleaning.
Do not subject the machine to strong vibrations.
Based on its design the machine is not intended for commercial use.
Allow it to be inspected by a W6 workshop (this may result in additional
costs).
Frequent sewers should send the machine in for an annual inspection
while an inspection every 2 to 4 years should be sufficient for normal
use.
To do so, contact W6 WERTARBEIT directly by email: info@w6-wertar-
beit.com.
