WARNING
Danger to life due to unauthorized troubleshooting!
► If faults occur on this machine which are not described in this oper-
ator's manual, contact the service partner.
► Do not rectify faults on your own.
Fault Possible cause Remedy
The engine cannot be started. Engine switch off. Engine switch on.
Throttle lever in stop or idle position. Throttle lever on.
Fuel cock is closed. Open the fuel cock.
Not enough fuel. Refill with fuel. Check fuel filter and
fuel lines.
Incorrect valve clearance. Check valve clearance, have it ad-
justed if necessary.*
Valves worn. Have the machine repaired.*
Cylinder and/or piston ring worn.
Spark plugs worn. Replace spark plug.
Engine oil level too low. Add engine oil.
Soiled air filter. Clean air filter replace if necessary.
Engine does not work. Soiled air filter. Clean air filter replace if necessary.
Engine cannot be switched off. On/off switch is defective. Have the machine repaired.*
No vibration when the engine is run-
ning.
V-belt worn. Change V-belt.
Clutch linings worn out. Have the clutch linings replaced.*
* Have this work carried out by a service partner.
