7.7 Inspecting the Flame Head
Prerequisites
Machine shut down and cool to the touch
Machine properly positioned
When
Inspect the flame head prior to the first seasonal use, during regular maintenance,
and as needed.
Procedure
To inspect the flame head (b), carry out the following procedure.
1. Remove the access panel. See topic Removing the Access Panel.
2. Remove the burner assembly (a). See topic Removing and Installing the Burner
Assembly.
3. The flame head is attached to the burner assembly. Inspect the flame head for
the following:
Wear. Replace if necessary.
Cleanliness. Clean the flame head if necessary.
Thermal stress. Replace if necessary.
4. Re-install the burner assembly. See topic Removing and Installing the Burner
Assembly.
CAUTION
Hot surface hazard. The machine surfaces may be hot.
f Allow the machine to cool for a minimum of ten minutes before touching it.
