Safety Information LTS
To ensure safe operation of the machine:
Do not operate the machine if any safety devices or guards are missing or
inoperative.
Do not modify or defeat the safety devices.
Only use accessories or attachments that are approved by Wacker Neuson.
Safe
operating
practices
When operating this machine:
Remain aware of the machine’s moving parts. Keep hands, feet, and loose
clothing away from the machine’s moving parts.
When operating this machine:
Do not operate a machine in need of repair.
Fire
precautions
Clean all dirt, oil, and other fluids from components to minimize fire risks and aid
in spotting loose or leaking components.
Check the engine for oily rags or other debris that could be a potential cause of
fire before starting the unit.
Have a fire extinguisher nearby. Be sure the extinguisher is properly maintained
and be familiar with its use.
In the event of a fire, use one of the following: carbonate anhydride (or carbon
dioxide), powder, foam, or water spray. Avoid using water jets.
In the event of a fire, wear a breathing apparatus if there is heavy smoke.
Personal
Protective
Equipment
(PPE)
Wear the following personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating this
machine:
Close-fitting work clothes that do not hinder movement
Safety glasses with side shields
Hearing protection
Safety-toed footwear
Before
starting
Be sure the machine is on a firm, level surface and will not tip, roll, slide, or fall
while operating.
Never connect machine to other power sources, such as supply mains of power
companies.
Never use the machine if the insulation on the electrical cord is cut or worn
through.
Never raise the tower or operate the machine in high winds.
The tower extends up to 8.5 m (27.9 ft.). Make sure the area above the trailer is
open and clear of overhead wires and obstructions.
Know all side clearance and overhead obstructions for safe operation of the
machine.
Check that winch cables are in good condition and are centered on each pulley.
Do not start the engine or operate any control if there is a ‘DO NOT OPERATE’
or similar warning sign attached to any control.
Use jumper cables only as recommended. Improper use can result in battery
explosion.
