Why my WAGNER GM5000 Paint Sprayer does not start?
    • B
      brockerinAug 16, 2025
Your WAGNER Paint Sprayer might not be starting due to several reasons: it's not plugged in (plug it in); the ON/OFF switch is OFF (turn it ON); there's low or no voltage from the wall plug (test the power supply); it was turned off under pressure (turn the PRIME/SPRAY valve to PRIME); the extension cord is damaged (replace it); or the thermal overload tripped (let the motor cool in a cooler spot). If none of these work, the motor may have a problem.

What to do if the green light is on but there's no high-voltage in my WAGNER GM5000?
    • R
      regina63Aug 19, 2025
If the green illuminated display (1) lights up, but there's no high-voltage in your WAGNER Paint Sprayer, it might be due to excessive conductivity of the paint. Please refer to the spray gun operating manual for guidance.

How to fix a WAGNER GM5000 Paint Sprayer when the green light is off and there's no high-voltage?
    • K
      Kristin JonesAug 22, 2025
If the green illuminated display (1) does not light up and there is no high-voltage on your WAGNER Paint Sprayer, the spray gun cable might not be connected properly or could be defective. Alternatively, the spray gun itself might be faulty. Ensure the spray gun cable is correctly connected. If the problem persists, contact WAGNER Service.

What to do if WAGNER GM5000 won't draw paint?
    • H
      Hayley MitchellAug 26, 2025
If your WAGNER Paint Sprayer starts but doesn't draw paint when set to PRIME, here's what to check: 1. Try priming the unit again. 2. Ensure the paint hopper isn't empty. 3. Clean the hopper filter, inlet valve, and outlet valve, replacing any worn parts. If the PRIME/SPRAY valve is plugged, the inlet valve is damaged, there's a diaphragm problem, or the hydraulic oil level is low, further assistance may be needed.

Why does my WAGNER GM5000 Paint Sprayer lose pressure when spraying?
    • S
      Samuel ScottAug 28, 2025
If your WAGNER Paint Sprayer draws paint but loses pressure when you trigger the gun, the issue might be: a worn spray tip (replace it); a clogged hopper filter (clean it); a plugged gun or spray tip filter (clean or replace it); paint that's too thick (thin or strain it); or a dirty or worn outlet valve assembly (clean or replace it). Also, check for a damaged or worn inlet valve assembly (replace the inlet valve).

      Jo TaylorAug 31, 2025
If the spray gun on your WAGNER Paint Sprayer won't spray, make sure that the spray tip, gun filter, or tip filter isn't plugged – clean them if they are. Also, ensure the spray tip is in the SPRAY position, not the CLEAN position.

Why is the tip assembly leaking on my WAGNER GM5000 Paint Sprayer?
    • C
      Carly ChristianSep 3, 2025
If the tip assembly on your WAGNER Paint Sprayer is leaking, it could be due to internal parts being worn or dirty. Also, check if the tip was assembled incorrectly and assemble it properly. Finally, a worn seal could also be the cause, so replace the seal if necessary.

How to fix tailing paint pattern with WAGNER GM5000?
    • T
      Theresa NelsonSep 9, 2025

Why did the thermal overload trip on my WAGNER Paint Sprayer?
    • P
      Patty MckenzieSep 13, 2025
The thermal overload on your WAGNER Paint Sprayer might have tripped because the motor overheated. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes. Other causes include: an extension cord that's too long or too small (replace it with a shorter, thicker cord); paint buildup on the motor (clean it); starting the sprayer under pressure (restart in PRIME mode); or the sprayer sitting in the sun (move it out of the sun).
