5.2 FUNCTIONING
The piston pump is driven with compressed air (2). This compressed air moves the air piston
up and down in the air motor (4) and it also moves the the associated pump piston up and
down in the fluid section (9).
In the control housing (1), the air pressure is redirected at the end of each stroke with the
help of the reversing valve. The working material is sucked up during the upwards stroke
and is continuously conveyed towards the product output (8) in both stroke directions.
5.2.1 Air motor
The air motor (4) with its pneumatic reverse (1) does not require pneumatic oil. The
compressed air is fed to the motor via the air pressure regulator (2) and the ball valve (3).
The air motor (4) is fitted with a safety valve in accordance with Chapter Protective and
Monitoring Equipment [821].
