6.8 CONNECTING THE CUP GUN
1 Powder cup gun 5 Feed air hose (red)
2 Electrical connection cable 6 Atomizing air hose (black)
3 Control unit 7 Use non-return valve with feed and
dosing air!
4 Dosing air hose (blue)
1. Switch off the high-voltage generation on the control unit.
2. Before connecting the cup gun, check that all components, such as the nozzle system
and union nut, are correctly fitted.
3. Connect electrical cable of the cup gun to the control unit.
4. Connect the feed air hose to the cup gun and to the control unit.
5. Connect the dosing air hose to the cup gun and to the control unit.
6. Connect the atomizing air hose to the cup gun and to the control unit.
6.9 GROUNDING
For safety reasons, the control unit must be properly grounded. The grounding connection
to the energy supply (socket) is made via the mains connection cable's protective conductor,
while that to the work piece/system is made via the knurled screw on the rear of the control
unit. Both connections are absolutely essential. The gun is grounded according to
instructions for proper commissioning.
