9.4 Fault causes
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The WMS WebControl pro is no longer
recognised by the browser.
There is a power failure and DHCP is set
to "ON", meaning a new IP address was
automatically assigned in the router. The
WMS WebControl pro can no longer be
reached at the old address.
Enter the new IP address.
The WMS WebControl pro is not found
by the mobile device being used and the
status LED on the WMS WebControl pro
flashes red.
DHCP is set to "OFF", i.e. there is no
automatic assignment of the IP address in
the router.
Check the network connection.
Check under the "System - Network" tab
whether DHCP is set to ON or OFF. Set
DHCP to ON if necessary.
If you are operating the system using the
app, the IP address will be displayed on the
"System -
Network" tab. You can then enter this
number in the menu line of the browser
(e.g.: http://192.....).
TIP: Save this address in the browser as a
bookmark.
LED does not light up. The power supply of the
WMS WebControl pro has been interrupted.
Check the power supply on the power
supply unit and check the connection
between the power supply unit and the
WMS WebControl pro.
Green LED flashes. There is a problem with the connection
between the RJ45 socket and the router
connection (e.g. line problem, the connector
is not properly plugged in).
Check the power supply on the router and
check the connection between the router
and the RJ45 socket.
Red LED flashes. The WMS WebControl pro must be updated
with the WMS studio pro via USB.
Connect the WMS WebControl pro via USB
to a PC and carry out the update in WMS
studio pro.
You are not able to add an additional room;
a plus does not appear next to "Room".
The capacity is full; you have already
created 50 rooms.
Delete unnecessary rooms to make space
for new rooms.
For the switching times, a question mark
appears for Monday, for example.
The value set at this position is not identical
for the selected days. (e.g. you selected
Monday to Friday. You entered the position
value 50 % for Wednesday and 30 % for the
other days).
This is not an error. The program is showing
you that you have defined different values.
The WMS WebControl pro cannot be found
via the app.
The mobile device (smartphone, etc.) is not
located in the WLAN network of your router.
Before opening the app, check whether
your router is switched on and the WLAN is
active. If not, log into the WLAN network.
You are in your WMS WebControl pro app.
The error message
"No connection to WebControl!" appears.
The WLAN connection between the app
and the WMS WebControl pro is not
stable.
The range of the WLAN network was
enlarged with several routers and
the device (WMS WebControl pro) is
alternating between the routers.
Create a stable WLAN connection.
The WMS WebControl pro cannot be
operated externally via the Internet.
Online activation is deactivated or the WLAN
is not connected to the Internet.
Enable online activation in the WMS
WebControl pro. Check the WLAN network.
The page is not displayed correctly when
using the browser.
Browser obsolete or incompatible Use a suitable browser.
