5. The plastic of the front fascia will need to be
trimmed to allow the two upright braces to be
installed. Remove vehicle hood to gain clear
access. Use a utility knife to carefully cut an
opening for the brace. Start cut at existing opening,
cutting forward toward bumper. Trimmed opening
should be approximately 3/8”-1/2” wide by 3” long.
Related figures show the right hand side of vehicle
viewed from the top through the hood opening. Cut
can be made most easily from the front of the
vehicle through the front wheel fender opening. See
Figure 6, 7 and 8.
