How to increase the water capacity of my Water Ace Water Pump?
    • A
      Alicia HoAug 5, 2025
If your Water Ace Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity, it could be because the water being pumped is lower than estimated, steel piping (if used) is corroded or limed causing excess friction, the piping is too small in size, or the pump is not being supplied with enough water. A deep well jet may be needed if the water being pumped is more than 25’ (7.6M) depth to water. Replace steel pipe with plastic pipe where possible, otherwise with new steel pipe. Re-pipe using the size of the suction and discharge ports on the pump. Add additional well points.

During a new installation, the pump might not have picked up prime due to improper priming, air leaks, a leaking foot valve, or the pipe size being too small. If the pump has lost prime, it could be due to air leaks or the water level being below the suction pipe inlet. Other potential causes include a plugged impeller, a stuck foot valve, frozen pipes, or the foot valve and/or strainer being buried in sand or mud. Suggested solutions: For new installations: Re-prime according to instructions, check all connections on the suction line with soapy water or shaving cream, replace the foot valve, and re-pipe using the size of the suction and discharge ports on the pump.
