Why Wavecom Modem has no communication through the serial link?

  There might be several reasons why your Wavecom Modem isn't communicating through the serial link. First, ensure the modem is correctly powered with an external power supply providing voltage between 5.5 V and 32 V. Then, check the serial cable connection at both ends. Verify that the serial cable follows the correct pin assignment as specified in paragraph 3.2.1.3. Confirm that your communication program on the PC is properly configured to match the modem's factory settings: Data bits = 8, Parity = none, Stop bits = 1, Baud = 115.200 kbps, and Flow control = hardware. Finally, check for any other programs that might be interfering with the communication program by causing a conflict on the communication port access, and close any such programs.

If unsuccessful, try bearer selection type by using the AT command: AT+CBST=0,0,3.

  If your Wavecom Modem is displaying an “ERROR” message, the AT command syntax might be incorrect; double-check it. If the syntax is correct but the command was transmitted with wrong parameters, enter the AT +CMEE=1 command to enable the mechanism that provides Mobile Equipment error codes instead of just “ERROR”. You can also enter again the AT command which previously caused the reception of “ERROR” message in order to get the Mobile Equipment error code.
