5.5 Verifying the received signal strength
The Fastrack modem establishes a call only if the received signal is sufficiently
strong.
To verify the received signal strength, do the following operations:
! Using a communication software such as Hyperterminal, enter the AT
command
AT+CSQ
.
The response returned has the following format:
+CSQ: <rssi>,<ber>
with:
o
<rssi>
= received signal strength indication,
o
<ber>
= channel bit error rate.
! Verify the
<rssi>
value returned which interpretation is given in the
table below.
