calculatethe maximum length of a zone runtime before
pausing watering for acalculated period to allow the
waterto soak into the soil. These Run/Soak(also called
Cycle/Soak) periods basedon industry BASIC formulas
reducewasteful runo caused by wateringmore than the
soil can absorb. TheRun/Soak feature included inAdvanced
Menu can be manuallyentered for use with the
BASICmode. However, in the SMARTmode, the SmartLine® controllerwill automatically calculate Run/Soak
times with soil inputs madeat the soil type position on thedial. Run/Soak settings made inAdvanced Menu
are not activewhen controller is in SMARTsoak schedules can be viewedby selecting Advanced
Menu,Review and Run/Soak.

multiple start times for purpose of preventing runo.
Using the combination of multiple starttimes and
Run/Soak cycles can lead to extendedwatering
windows since Run/Soak cycles are applied toeach
start time.
When your SmartLine® controller is setin SMART mode, the
Seasonal% Adjustin the BASIC mode is inactivated sincethe
automatic adjustments are madedaily rather than monthly.
