3.3.7 Changing the Oil in the Tamper System
- Remove the plug (29/1) from the filler opening.
- Slightly tilt the tamper to the front and catch the
used oil in an appropriate pan.
- Put the tamper to the back so that the filler opening
is directed towards the top.
- Pour 1 liter of oil into the filler opening (refer to
paragraph 3.4).
- Clean the plug and screw it down to the filler
opening.
Environment Hazard!
Dispose of the used oil in an environmentally-
friendly manner.
3.3.8 Replacing the Tamping Shoe
- Put the tamper out of operation as described in
paragraph 2.7.
- Unscrew 4 nuts (30/1).
- Take the tamper from the tamping shoe (30/2) and
fit a new tamping shoe.

When fixing the tamping shoe, place spring washers
under the fastening nuts (30/1) as shown in figure 31.
Tighten the nuts (30/1) with a torque of 35 Nm.
