Why does my Wen CT1272 motor not start?

  The motor of your Wen Saw might not start due to several reasons. It could be that the plunge button isn't fully pressed. Ensure it is fully pressed before starting. Another reason could be a damaged power cord or an improperly plugged-in cord. Check the power cord, extension cord, power plug, and outlet, and don't use the saw if any cord is damaged. The power outlet might not be providing enough power, so ensure it's functional and has the correct capacity for the tool. Also, a worn carbon brush might cause this problem, inspect and replace carbon brushes as needed. Replacement carbon brushes (part no. CT1272-031) can be ordered from wenproducts.com.

  Excessive noise or vibration in your Wen Saw can stem from a few issues. Check if the blade is installed correctly. Ensure the blade flanges are flush against the blade, and the arbor bolt is completely tightened. Avoid forcing the tool and ensure the blade selection is appropriate for the cut type and workpiece. If the blade is damaged, replace it.

  Your Wen Saw might be overheating because you are forcing the tool to work too fast; avoid forcing it and make sure that the blade selection is appropriate for the cut type and workpiece. Blocked motor housing vents can also cause overheating. Wear safety glasses and a dust mask, then blow the dust out of the motor housing vents.
