Machine Compartment Components
The sealed system uses a new, linear compressor to drive the
refrigeraon cycle.
Refrigerant is pumped through the condenser and a non-UV dye
drier to the three-way valve. The three-way valve aligns to allow
refrigerant to either the RC or FC evaporator, depending on which
is being cooled. A check valve is posioned at the outlet of the
FC Evaporator to prevent refrigerant back ow during RC cooling.
The linear compressor takes a sucon of the evaporator outlet of
the compartment being cooled.
Refrigerant ow has been updated to make the refrigerator more
ecient. The check valve that prevents refrigerant from one
evaporator to the other was eliminated.
While cooling the freezer secon, due to the low pressure in
the capillary tubing, the refrigerant will be in the evaporator of
refrigerator compartment but will not be owing through the
coil. The tubing was re-routed for the refrigerator evaporator to
go through the freezer evaporator to keep it cold then back the
compressor. The freezer fan does not run during this me.
