Why is my WhisperKool 2000i Wine Cooler cellar temperature too warm?
    • N
      Nicole EstradaJul 31, 2025
The cellar temperature might be too warm because the temperature of the room the unit is exhausting to has exceeded 85°. In this case, the intake temperature needs to drop below 85°. Other possible causes are: the unit is undersized for the cellar (order correct size unit); there is something blocking the supply and/or return air, on evaporator or condenser side of the unit (remove air flow obstruction); unit is mounted too low in the cellar (relocate unit so the distance from the ceiling and top of the unit is no more than 18”); controller set too high (lower the set point); poor seal around door (make sure there are no air gaps around the door. If door seal is damaged, replace it); compressor keeps cycling on overload (make sure all fans are working and there are no airflow obstruction).

Why does my WhisperKool Wine Cooler run but not cool?

      Wesley ThomasAug 7, 2025
If your unit runs but does not cool, it could be due to a lack of air flow; make sure the fan is unobstructed and clean the evaporator if necessary. Another possible cause is that the compressor is overheating; shut the unit off for 1 hour to allow the compressor to cool, then turn it back on and check for cooler air flow out. If the compressor runs, check for and clean the condenser coil as a possible cause of compressor overheating. If the problem repeats, more assistance is needed.

What to do if my WhisperKool Wine Cooler unit leaks water?
    • C
      Christopher ReynoldsAug 22, 2025
If your unit is leaking water, it may not be level; ensure the unit is level in the wall to prevent leaking. Also, the drain line might be clogged or kinked; check the drain line to make sure water can flow freely. The drain itself could be clogged, preventing water from escaping; disconnect the drain and clear it out, open the access door and check the drain for blockage. If the drain line does not have a downward slope, fix it so there is a downward slope from the unit to the drain. If the coil is iced, it can cause the drain pan to ice and water to overflow; melt the ice with a blow drier and soak up the water with a towel.

How to fix ice forming on the evaporator of my WhisperKool 2000i Wine Cooler?
    • S
      Steven WilliamsNov 15, 2025
Ice formation on the evaporator can occur for several reasons. First, the evaporator coil might be dirty; clean it with a vacuum, or, if very dirty, use a spray bottle with a small amount of liquid dish washing detergent, spray the coil, let it set for 5 minutes, then flush with fresh water. Another reason might be that something is blocking the supply and/or return air; remove the blockage. Also, the unit may not have gone through its anti-frost sequence yet; check for ice in the depth of the coil and melt it with a blow drier until the coil is warm to the touch, then soak up the water with a towel. Inspect the ice formation pattern; if only part way up the coil face, the unit could be low on refrigerant, and if all the way up, the coil may be dirty or airflow is blocked. Also, make sure ...
