Step 7
Locate the rear wheel and hub motor into
the frame hanger. (Whyte recommends
rotating the frame in a work stand). The
dérailleur and chain may need their position
adjusting for access.
CAUTION - Whyte recommends using a bike mechanics work stand when performing maintenance where ever possible. If the bike is stood upside
down on the ground take care not to damage the HMI screen attached to the handle bars.
Step 8
Once the rear wheel has been located.
connect the hub cable to the power cable
(Pay attention to the alignment arrows).
ensure cables are secured back to the
frame if required.
Step 9
Before xing the wheel to the frame carry
out visual checks to ensure everything
is aligned, cables secured, and the axle
is positioned securely in the frame hanger.
Step 10
Locate the anti-rotation washer over the
axle and slide the washer into the frame
hanger. Ensure the bump is facing the
motor
Step 11
Pre-tighten the nuts onto the axle. Repeat
steps 4 and 5 to the other side of the
motor.
Step 12
Using an 18mm hex socket, tighten the
nuts to a torque value of 35nm. The wheel
has now been installed. Check alignment
of brakes and drivetrain prior to riding.
