SECTION 6 –
ELECTRICAL
6-8
The house batteries can also provide
emergency power to start the engine if the chassis
battery is discharged. (See “Battery Boost
Switch” in Section 3 - Driving Your Motorhome).
House batteries are automatically charged by
the chassis alternator while the engine is running.
HOUSE/COACH BATTERY
DISCONNECT SWITCH
(COACH BATT)
The House/Coach Battery Disconnect switch
lets you disconnect the house batteries from the
12-volt system of your coach during storage
periods to avoid battery drain by electrical items
that are hooked directly to the house batteries,
such as clock displays and radio memories, etc.
Always leave this switch ON while using the
coach.
NOTE: Some electronic displays and memory
functions may need to be reset after
power has been reconnected.
See also “Battery Care” elsewhere in this
section.
BATTERY ACCESS
The house batteries are located in a front
driver or passenger side compartment, depending
on model. The batteries are mounted on an
extendable slide tray for your convenience.
Accessing House Batteries
1. Open battery compartment door.
2. Lift UP on locking device to release battery
tray.
3. Extend battery tray.
4. To store, push the battery tray in until it
