2.4| CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE
The appliance must be connected
to an earthed socket.
The appliance is only designed for
operation with alternating cur
-
rent. Check that the mains volt-
age corresponds to the voltage
specified on the type plate of the
appliance.
Any incorrect connection will
void the warranty.
Never pull the mains plug out of
the socket by the cable.
Do not place the appliance or
the mains cord near liquids, in
contact with the appliance’s
heat-conducting parts, near a
heat source, or on a sharp edge.
2.5| INCORRECT USE
Do not touch the lid until the
appliance has stopped completely
(STOP button

). Wait until the
food being mixed stops moving.
Always add solid ingredients
to the pot before adding liq
-
uid ingredients (Fig. C11). Do not
exceed the MAX marking on the
inside of the pot (Fig. C11). If the
pot is too full, boiling water may
spill out.
NOTE
Be sure to add 0.7 l water
during the steam cooking
program (Fig. C4).
Do not put your fingers or objects
into the pot while the appliance
is in operation.
Do not use the pot as a container
(storage, freezing, sterilizing).
Place the appliance on a horizon-
tal, stable, heat resistant, clean
and dry surface.
Do not place the appliance near
a heat source that is in operation
(hob, electrical domestic appli
-
ance, etc.).
Do not cover the lid with a cloth
or other object, and do not try to
block the lid opening. Always use
the locking cap

Make sure that no hair, scarves,
ties, etc., hang into the pot while
the appliance is in operation.
Never put the accessories in the
microwave.
Do not use the appliance
outdoors.
Do not exceed the maxi-
mum quantity indicated in the
instructions.
Only store the appliance after it
has cooled down.
Never put the pot in the freezer
to cool – always use the fridge.
Do not leave the dough scraper in
oil for more than 20 minutes at
150 °C.
