NOTE
The times given for steam cooking serve
as a guide. Certain factors affect cook-
ing times: The size of the vegetables (cut or
uncut), the amount of ingredients, the variety
and ripeness of the vegetables, and the amount
of water in the pot, which must correspond to
the marking (0.7 l). Be sure to turn the locking
cap in the max. direction. If the food is under-
cooked, you can add extra cooking time.
4.2| MOUNTING THE POT, ACCESSORIES
AND LID
Make sure all packaging has been removed
before first use, especially the protection
between the pot
8
and the motor unit
10
.
Before using for the first time, clean all com-
ponents, except for the motor unit
10
, in
warm water with dishwashing liquid. The pot
8
is equipped with a removable drive shaft
6
that can be removed for easier cleaning.
Insert the sealing ring for the pot
4
into the
seal carrier
3
and attach the assembled parts
on the lid (Fig. C1).
Position the seal ring for the drive shaft
7
on
the drive shaft
6
.
Fasten the drive shaft down in the pot using
the locking ring
9
(Fig. C2). If you are cook-
ing without a lid, position the sealing ring
7
on the drive shaft
6
. Lock the assembled
parts with the locking ring
9
on the pot base
(Fig. C2).
Place the required accessories in the
container:
Insert the accessory
19
23
onto the drive
at the bottom of the container (Fig. C3).
Fill the pot with 0.7 l of cooking liquid
(water, sauce, etc.) (Fig. C4) and then place
the steamer insert inside the pot (Fig. C5)
for steaming.
Place the ingredients in the pot or steamer
insert.
Place the lid
2
on the pot
8
and align the
two triangles. Lock the lid without force by
turning it in the direction of the arrow (Fig.
C6).
Place the sealing cap
1
on the lid. There are
three possible positions for the cap (Fig. C7).
Please make sure that the lid is locked at
the min. or max. level, otherwise it may
fall out.
Position the pot
8
on the motor unit
10
until
it clicks into place (Fig. C9).
NOTE
The appliance will only start when the
pot and lid are correctly positioned and
locked onto the motor unit.
If one or both components are incorrectly posi-
tioned or locked, a safety warning will appear
on the screen (Fig. C10).
NOTE
The appliance is equipped with a safety
function for locking the lid. The lid is
locked every time the appliance is in use. This
prevents the lid from opening while a dish is
being prepared.
Do not try to force the lid open when it is
locked. This safety feature is disabled every time
the appliance is turned off. If you have selected
a temperature of 50°C or more and a speed of 5
or more, a 10-second countdown will appear on
the control panel. Opening the lid is only possi-
ble after this countdown has ended.
