4.8 Miscellaneous Maintenance
1. Check the drive belt tension after the first 20 hours, and every 50 hours thereafter. Drive
belt adjustment differs according to the specified motor or engine. See the Wood-Mizer
Motor or Engine Option manual supplied with your mill for specific adjustment instruc-
tions.
2. Check the mill alignment every setup. See Section 6, Alignment.
3. If the clutch begins to slip, adjust the turnbuckle linkage. Turn the turnbuckle clockwise
(as viewed from the top) to provide 46 lbs. of tension.
4. Make sure all safety warning decals are readable. Remove sawdust and dirt. Replace any
damaged or unreadable decals immediately. Order decals from your Customer Service
Representative.
