Overview

The WYBOT S2 (WY210C) is a robotic pool cleaner designed to provide efficient, low-power consumption, and thorough pool cleaning. This user manual emphasizes the importance of reading through the entire guide before operation to ensure safety and proper use. The device is equipped with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, requiring an initial charge before first use and subsequent charges when the battery level is low.

Function Description

The WYBOT S2 (WY210C) is engineered for comprehensive pool cleaning, featuring one-button activation, powerful suction, and scrubbing capabilities. It incorporates fine filtration, smart navigation, and remote control functionality, making it compatible with various pool shapes and construction materials. The cleaner is designed to remove dirt and debris from pool floors, walls, and waterlines.

Key functional components include:

  • Handle: For easy removal and transport of the device.
  • LED Indicator: Displays different light colors to indicate the device's status (e.g., power on, working, connecting to app, low battery, charging, fault).
  • Cleaning Mode Button: Allows customization of cleaning needs directly on the cleaner. More advanced cleaning modes are available via the companion app.
  • Charging Port: Connects the charger to the device.
  • Pump: Pumps water out through a designated window.
  • On/Off Button: Turns the device on or off.
  • Track: Enhances the device's capability in climbing walls and navigating various obstacles.
  • Scrubbing Brush: Loosens dirt and directs it into the device for collection.
  • Sealed Part: Contains important sealed components. Users are warned not to disassemble this part without authorization for safety reasons.
  • Filter Basket (180µm): Collects dirt and debris. It must be installed before cleaning and washed after each use.
  • Filter Foam (Cotton Foam): An auxiliary filter that helps trap fine dirty particles. It is recommended for floor cleaning but should not be installed when pool water is heavily dusty, as it may affect cleaner operation.
  • Lid Open Button: Used to open the cover and access the filter basket.

The device performs a self-calibration process upon activation, indicated by a flashing blue light, before starting its cleaning cycle. It is designed to automatically stop by the edge of the wall when cleaning is finished or the battery is low.

Usage Features

The WYBOT S2 (WY210C) offers a user-friendly experience with several convenient features:

  • One-Button Activation: Simplifies the start-up process.
  • Smart Navigation: Allows the cleaner to efficiently cover pool floors, walls, and waterlines.
  • Multiple Cleaning Modes:
    • On-device modes: Toggle between "Wall then floor" (default), "Pool floor cleaning," and "Pool walls cleaning."
    • App-controlled modes: The WYBOT App (available on iOS 15.0 or later and Android 8.0 or later) offers additional modes such as "Standard Full Pool," "Floor Only," "Wall Only," "Waterline," "Wall then floor (Combo)," "Eco floor," and "Turbo Floor," providing greater flexibility in cleaning coverage. Cleaning modes should be modified via the app when the cleaner is out of the pool. If the device restarts, it will automatically enter the last set cleaning mode.
  • App Connectivity: Users can download the WYBOT App to their smart mobile device by scanning a QR code or from Google Play/App Store to connect and control the cleaner remotely.
  • Battery Level Indication: The LED lights on the front of the cleaner display the current battery level (0-20%, 20-40%, 40-60%, 60-80%, 80-100%). A flashing yellow light indicates low battery, prompting immediate charging. A solid red light or flashing red light indicates a fault or motor protection issue.
  • Easy Deployment: To run the cleaner, hold its handle and place it vertically into the pool. Allow it to sink to the floor to release trapped air inside.
  • Retrieval: An included hook can be inserted into a pool pole to lift the cleaner out of the pool. It is recommended to take the cleaner out vertically to quickly drain water from inside.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the WYBOT S2 (WY210C):

  • Filter Cleaning: After each use, the filter basket and cotton foam must be cleaned. This involves pressing the filter cover handle, lifting the cover, taking out the filter basket and foam, emptying debris, and rinsing them with clean water. After rinsing, they should be placed back into the cleaner, and the cover closed.
  • Charging Port Care: The charging port must be dry after each cleaning to prevent electric shock.
  • Battery Maintenance:
    • Charge the unit before first use.
    • Avoid overcharging to prolong battery life.
    • Charge the cleaner prior to long-term storage (over 6 months) to maintain optimal battery life.
    • The best charging environment is between 32°F-95°F (0°C-35°C) with 5%-95% relative humidity.
  • Storage: Store the cleaner in a cool, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight or any heat source. Ensure the device is powered off and dry before storage.
  • Water Conditions: The cleaner should only be used in pools with specific water conditions:
    • Chlorine: Max 4 mg/L
    • PH: 7.0 - 7.8
    • Temperature: 41-95°F (5-35°C)
    • NaCl: Maximum 5000 PPM
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a detailed FAQ and troubleshooting guide for common issues, such as the device not working, not climbing walls, or connectivity problems. Users are advised to contact the after-sale team if solutions cannot be found in the manual.
  • Regular Charging: Charge the cleaner every three months to ensure an optimal battery life, especially during periods of non-use.

The manual explicitly warns against operating the device if the top cover or scrubbing brushes are broken, or if there is any liquid leakage from the sealed part. It also stresses that only licensed professionals should disassemble the sealed parts of the cleaner.
