Gather what you need before beginning.

without just in case you splash some on yourself. Be sure to wear rubber
gloves and eye protection.

battery terminals
Torque wrench
Soft-bristled brush (a discarded toothbrush works fine)
6 inch scrub brush
Inexpensive ½ inch chip brush or soldering brush
Equipment
Eye protection
Rubber gloves
Water hose with spray nozzle or five gallon watering bucket
Empty spray bottle
Supplies
Baking soda. (Always keep on hand in the event of a spill.)
Hand cleaner or soap
Towel
After reattaching cables: anti-corrosion grease (available at auto, RV,
and marine stores)
