Moving the Printer Within the Office
To move the printer within the office:
1. Close the printer doors.
2. Turn off the printer using the power switch located behind I/O door E on the rear right side of the
printer.
3. Within 10 seconds after turning off the printer, select either Standard Shutdown or Shutdown
for Moving Printer on the printer control panel and then press OK.
4. Wait for the printer to complete the cool-down period for the ink to solidify. If you selected
Shutdown for Moving Printer, the fan shuts down when the printer is cool enough to move.
CAUTION: If you turn off the printer but do not select Shutdown for Moving Printer on the
control panel, the fan does not run, so you must wait longer for the ink to solidify. Wait at least 30
minutes for the printer to cool completely before moving or packing it.
5. Unplug the printer after the cool-down cycle is complete.
6. Use the hand holds on each side of the printer to lift it. Move the printer separately from any
optional feeder trays.
