Propeller Checking Point
8 Check each of the propeller blades for
wear, erosion from cavitation or ventila-
tion, or other damage.
8 Check the splines for wear and damage.
8 Check for fish line winding around the
propeller shaft.
8 Check the propeller shaft oil seal for dam-
age.

Removing the Propeller
1) Straighten the cotter pin 1 and pull it
out using a pair of pliers.
2) Remove the propeller 2.
3) Remove the shear pin 3.

2) Remove the propeller nut 2 and wash-
er 3.
3) Remove the propeller 4 and thrust
washer 5.
