preventive procedures to guard against deterioration.

Drain the fuel

Fuel is highly flammable and poisonous. Check
“SAFETY INFORMATION” (See page 1) carefully.

Immediately wipe off spilled fuel with a clean, dry,
soft cloth, since fuel may deteriorate painted sur-
faces or plastic parts.
1. Prepare a container to collect the drained gaso-
line.
2. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank, fuel cock, and
carburetor float bowl.

3. Pour a cup of SAE 10W30 or 20W40 motor oil into
the fuel tank.
4. Shake the tank to coat the inner surfaces thor-
oughly.
5. Drain off the excess oil.
