7. Install the spark arrester.
TIP
Align the spark arrester lump to the hole in the muffler
pipe.

8. Install the muffler screen and muffler cap, and
then tighten the muffler cap bolt.
Muffler cap bolt tightening torque:
2.5 N·m (0.25 kgf·m, 1.8 lb·ft)
9. Install the muffler cover and then tighten the muf-
fler cover bolts.
Muffler cover bolt tightening torque:
12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 8.9 lb·ft)

5. Remove the carbon deposits on the muffler screen
and spark arrester using a wire brush.
NOTICE
When cleaning, use the wire brush lightly to avoid
damaging or scratching of the muffler screen and
spark arrester.
6. Check the muffler screen and spark arrester.
Replace them if damaged.
