What to do if my Yamaha F2.5B Outboard Motor engine will not start (Starter operates)?

  If your Yamaha Outboard Motor engine won't start even when the starter is working, several factors could be at play. First, ensure your fuel tank isn't empty and is filled with clean, fresh fuel. Check the fuel filter for clogs and clean or replace it if necessary. Make sure you're following the correct starting procedure as outlined in the “STARTING ENGINE” section. Inspect the spark plugs for fouling or incorrect type, cleaning or replacing them as needed. Verify that the spark plug caps are correctly fitted. Look for wear or breaks in the ignition wiring, tightening loose connections and replacing damaged wires. Also, be sure the engine stop switch lanyard is attached and the fuel cock is open. If none of these steps work, there may be faulty ignition parts or damaged engine inner parts...
