  If your Yamaha Receiver produces no sound, there could be several reasons: * Check if the input or output cables are connected correctly, and replace them if they are defective. * Ensure the input mode is set to AUTO, not DTS or ANALOG. * Select the appropriate input source using the INPUT, MULTI CH INPUT, or input selector buttons. * Make sure the speaker connections are secure. * Select the correct front speakers using SPEAKERS A and/or B. * Increase the volume and ensure the receiver is not muted by pressing MUTE or any operation button. * If playing a DTS signal, set the input mode to AUTO or DTS. * Ensure the source signals can be reproduced by the unit.

  If you're not getting any sound from the subwoofer on your Yamaha Receiver, here's what to check: * In the SET MENU, if “BASS OUT” is set to FRONT while playing a Dolby Digital or DTS signal, change it to SWFR or BOTH. * If “BASS OUT” is set to SWFR or FRONT when playing a 2-channel source, select BOTH. * Also, consider that the source may not contain low bass signals.
