Starter Motor
20. E-ring
Use a special tool and hit with a hammer to pull
out the E-ring from the pinion shaft groove.

Remove the E-ring, and then pull out the center
bracket P and the washers from the pinion shaft.

Inspection and Maintenance
1. Armature
1- Outer diameter of commutator
Measure the outer diameter of the
commutator. If it is below the limit, replace it
with a non-defective.

2- Conduction test for armature coil
Check between the commutator bars with a
tester.
If there is conduction, it is a non-defective.
