Digital Operator ALM FLT Cause Possible Solution
Input Phase Loss
PF
O
There is phase loss in the drive input power
Check for wiring errors in the main circuit drive input
power.
Correct the wiring.
There is excessive fluctuation in the drive input power
voltage
Check the voltage from the drive input power.
Review the possible solutions for stabilizing the drive
input power.
There is poor balance between voltage phases
Stabilize drive input power or disable phase loss
detection.
Braking Transistor
Fault
rr
O
The braking transistor is damaged Cycle power to the drive and check for reoccurrence
of the fault.
Replace either the control board or the entire drive.
For instructions on replacing the control board,
contact Yaskawa or a Yaskawa representative.
The control circuit is damaged
DC Bus Undervoltage
Uv1
O O
Input power phase loss
The main circuit drive input power is wired
incorrectly.
Correct the wiring.
There is a problem with the voltage from the drive input
power
Check the voltage.
Correct the voltage to be within the range listed in
drive input power specifications.
If there is no problem with the power supply to the
main circuit, check for problems with the main circuit
magnetic contactor.
The main circuit capacitors are worn
Check the maintenance time for the capacitors
(U4-05).
Replace either the control board or the entire drive if
U4-05 exceeds 90%. For instructions on replacing the
control board, contact Yaskawa or a Yaskawa
representative.
Control Power Supply
Voltage Fault
Uv2
O
Control power supply wiring is damaged Cycle power to the drive. Check if the fault reoccurs.
If the problem continues, replace the control board,
the entire drive, or the control power supply. For
instructions on replacing the control board, contact
Yaskawa or a Yaskawa representative.
Internal circuitry is damaged
Undervoltage 3 (Soft-
Charge Bypass Relay
Fault)
Uv3
O
The relay or contactor on the soft-charge bypass relay is
damaged
Cycle power to the drive and see if the fault
reoccurs.
Check monitor U4-06 for the performance life of the
soft-charge bypass relay.
Replace either the control board or the entire drive if
U4-06 exceeds 90%. For instructions on replacing the
control board, contact Yaskawa or a Yaskawa
representative.
