environment respectively.
Under
these two modes, the way to adjust the output
level
is
like that in M mode, which is to press the [LEFT] [RIGHT], [UP] [DOWN] and [OK] in
the middle. When using S1/S2 mode, you should rotate the flash head to align
the
wireless triggering sensor to face the master light.
When the flash is in S1 mode, it will work synchronously with the master flash light;
the result will be consistent with the use of radio slave. To use this mode correctly, t
he
master flash should be set to manual flash and the TTL flash system (with pre-flash
functions, red-eye reduction functions and high speed multiple/repeating flashes)
should
not be used.
S2 mode: This is also called “pre-flash cancel mode”. This mode is similar to the
S1
mode, but it can ignore the pre-flash given by a TTL flash system
. Therefore, it can
support the main flash working in TTL mode. In particular, if S1 mode will not
flash
correctly and or not in sync with your camera’s flash, you should try S2 mode.
Do NOT use the following when the S1 and S2 modes are selected: red-eye
reduction
function of the master flash light; the remote
mode (Nikon) or wireless mode (Canon)
of the master flash light; ST-E2 (as the flash controller).
