3.7 Installing swivel castors on castor adapters
If the ground is uneven, the base unit must be equipped with adjustable castor
adapters to ensure the stability of the scaffold tower.
Castor adapters are only to be used to compensate for unevenness of the ground.
1. Loosen the screw on
the swivel castor.
2. Using a soft-faced mal-
let, hit the castor once
from below with great
force in order to release
the cone.
3. Pull the castor out of
the tube by holding
theplastic adapter (e.g.
using a pipe wrench).
4. Unscrew the nut and
remove the two-piece
plastic spacer.
5. Screw on the smaller
part of the plastic
spacer (for the castor
adapter) and the nut
loosely.
6. Fully insert the castor
into the castor adapter.
7. Tighten the screw.
