12.2 Motorized microscopes
After switch on, the microscope is initialized. This
process takes a few seconds. The Home page
(Fig. 6 and Fig. 7) appears when the instrument is
first started up.
GENERAL WORKING ADVICE
If coded / motorized components are
exchanged or removed while the
instrument is switched off, the operator
may possibly have
to reconfigure the
instrument after it has been switched
on again.
You can call all other pages via the buttons on the
navigation button bar (Fig. 6/1).
The control area (Fig. 6/2) shows the
configuration identified, as well as its current
status. All coded and motorized control elements
detected during initialization appear in the status
field, otherwise, the character "-"will be displayed.
The control elements are arranged from top to
bottom according to their significance.
Further operation controls are located along the
right edge (Fig. 6/3).
13 SWITCHING OFF SAFELY
• Before turning off the microscope, switch off
the fluorescent illumination source that is used
and allow it to cool down.
Axio Observer 3, 3 materials:
• Switch the microscope off using the power switch (on the left of the stand, Fig. 3/1).
Axio Observer 5, 5 materials:
• Switch the microscope off using the standby button (Fig. 3/1) and pull out the power plug to
disconnected from the mains.
Axio Observer 7, 7 materials:
• Switch the microscope off using the standby button (Fig. 3/1) and then, switch off the external power
supply unit VP232-2 using the power switch.
• After switching off, cover the instrument with the dust covers.
