(power
also by pressing the control knob).
The pulse duration can be adjusted within the range 10 to 2500 ms or set to continuous ("cw"). For the "cw" setting, the
pulse duration must be rotated past the 2500 ms setting. "cw" will be displayed. The "cw" setting is only available for power
outputs of 500 mW or less.
The interval can, depending on the power and pulse duration, be varied between 100 and 6000 ms.
To change the aiming beam intensity , the aiming beam can be switched on in STANDBY mode by touching the
button.
The spot size can be adjusted on the slit lamp, depending on treatment and power, within the range 50 to 1000 µm.
These parameters can be configured in STANDBY or READY modes.
3) Touch the button to switch from STANDBY mode to READY mode.
The laser can only be fired using the foot switch in READY mode Æ TREATMENT!
Caution! Never fire the laser if the aiming beam is not clearly visible in the target area!
If, in READY mode, more than five minutes elapses without the laser being fired, the system will return automatically to
STANDBY mode.
4) A pulse counter is displayed. To reset the pulse counter to zero, touch the or button.
The slit lamp joystick control includes a micromanipulator, allowing quick and simple fine adjustment of the laser beam position (and the
slit lamp illumination). The focal plane is not changed, as moving the micromanipulator "towards" or "away from" the patient moves the
laser beam "upwards" or "downwards"!
