out of the water. As a last resort, clean by
soaking the electrode in water for a few hours
•make sure the sensor’s porous element is in
good condition and wash the sensor with a
diluted acid-based solution
•change the electrode
•make sure the solution used is the pH 4 solution
•check the pH of the buffer solution with an
electronic pH meter
•take a new batch of pH 4 buffer solution and
begin calibration again
•make sure that the electrode bulb is in good
condition, that it has not been allowed to dry
out of the water. As a last resort, clean by
soaking the electrode in water for a few hours
•make sure the sensor’s porous element is in
good condition and wash the sensor with a
diluted acid-based solution
