      If your Zonex Control Systems unit will not initiate a cooling cycle, there could be several reasons: * The controller might be in heat mode or in changeover from heat mode. Try cycling power to the controller and verify that the thermostat inputs are correct. If the problem continues, consider replacing the controller. * The thermostat may have a cooling anticipator (compensator), requiring controller replacement. * Insufficient airflow over the evaporator can cause this issue; isolate and correct the airflow problem. * A bypass damper opening prematurely can also prevent cooling. Adjust the bypass damper to remain closed when all zone dampers are open. * Finally, the LAS might be out of calibration, which requires recalibration.

Ensure the red lead is connected to the + terminal and the white lead to the – terminal. * The LAS might be shorted. Check for 0V dc on the + and – terminals with the LAS installed; if shorted, replace the LAS. * The LAS wiring may be shorted. Again, check for 0V dc on the + and – terminals with the LAS installed; if the wiring is shorted, repair it. * A controller failure could also be the cause. If you measure 0V dc on the + and – terminals with the LAS removed, replace the controller.

If this is the case, replace the controller.
