Windows TCP/IP Settings
How you configure your Windows computer’s network settings
differs, depending on your operating system.
Windows 7 Users:
1 From the desktop, click the Start button, select Control
Panel.
2 Under Network and Sharing Center, select Change adapter
settings from the menu on the left side of the screen.
3 Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon and select
Properties.
4 In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box,
highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Ipv4) and click
the Properties button.
5 Select Use the following IP address and enter 192.168.1.100
and 255.255.255.0 as the IP address and Subnet mask,
respectively.
6 Click OK twice.
7 Re-enter 192.168.1.1 in your Web browser’s address bar.
Windows Vista Users:
1 From the desktop, click the Start button, select Control
Panel, and then double-click Network and Sharing Center.
2 In the Network and Sharing Center window, under Tasks,
select Manage Network Connections.
3 In the Network Connections window, double-click the Local
Area Connection option.
4 In the Local Area Connection Status dialog box, click the
Properties button.
