Hotword detection: When this feature is enabled, you can say "Google" when open
the Google app rather than touching the microphone icon to initiate a voice search
or voice action.
Download offline speech recognition: Select one or more additional language
packages so you can use speech recognition when you do not have a network
connection.
Bluetooth headset: Listen for your voice input through a Bluetooth headset when it
is connected to your phone.
Language & Input: Text-to-Speech Output
■ Touch > > Settings > Language & input > Text-to-speech output and touch
an option to configure it.
PREFERRED ENGINE: Select the speech synthesis engine you want to use or
touch to change its settings. Google Text-to-speech is the default pre-installed
engine.
Speech rate: Select how fast you want the synthesizer to speak.
Listen to an example: Play a brief sample of the speech synthesizer, using your
current settings.
Language & Input: Pointer Speed
This menu allows you to select how fast the pointer should move when you connect the phone
with a mouse or trackpad accessory.
■ Touch > > Settings > Language & input > Pointer speed and adjust the
speed before touching OK.
Storage Settings
The Storage settings menu lets you manage internal storage on your phone and provides
options for your microSDHC card.
Storage: Save Location
This menu allows you to choose the default location for new data, such as files downloaded,
photos captured, and voice recorded.
1. Touch > > Settings > Storage > Save location.
2. Touch Phone to store new data in the phone's internal SD card storage, or touch SD
card to save new items in an optional installed microSDHC card.
