40 CHAPTER 4: USER INTERFACE CONFIGURATION
AUX user interface is numbered as the second interface designated as user
interface 1.
VTY is numbered after AUX user interface. The absolute number of the first
VTY is incremented by 1 than the AUX user interface number.
Relative number
The relative number is in the format of "user interface type" + "number". The
"number" refers to the internal number for each user interface type. This method
can only specify one interface or one group of interfaces for a user interface type
instead of different user interface types.
It follows the rules below:
Number of Console user interface: console 0.
Number of AUX user interface: AUX 0.
Number of VTY: The first VTY interface is designated as VTY 0; the second one
is designated as VTY 1, and so on.
