Shut off the gas fl ow into the DPC controller. Make sure the instrument Valve Mode
is set to "Closed". To ensure that no seepage or leaking occurs into the device, it is
good practice to temporarily disconnect the gas source. The Auto Zero may be
initiated locally using optional OLED/joystick interface (see Figure 19) or by pressing
the multi-functional maintenance push button located on the left side of the instrument,
or via digital communication interface (see Figure 59: DPC Multi-functional
Push Button).
6.4.16.1 DP Sensor Zero Calibration
To start DP sensor Auto Zero locally using OLED/joystick interface, navigate to “Sensor Zero
Calibration” menu selection, then select “Start Auto Zero Now”. On a DPC controller with
optional OLED, the following screen will appear:

To start Auto Zero, select the YES option and push the joystick ENT button. The status LED
will start fl ashing RED/GREEN (alternating every 2 seconds). The following screen will appear:

NOTE: Actual differential pressure and temperature Analog to Digital Converter
(ADC) counts readings for your instrument may be different.
Internal Auto Zero process may take 5 to 15 seconds.
If the DPC’s digital signal processor was able to adjust the Sensor reading within 0 ± 7 counts
(within default Auto Zero Tolerance), the Auto Zero is considered successful.
