6.4.5.2. Hard-wired interface
The MV UPS also has the option for the following digital I/O hardwired battery interface to a BMS:
Main BMS warning/fault status
Main DC isolator open/close status
Main BMS emergency-stop command
Main DC isolator open/close command
The signal level and polarities for the hardwired interfaces shall be arranged upon on a project basis.
The digital hardwired interface is established using a remote I/O module working over a dedicated
internal MODBUS TCP communication channel - separated from the main BMS communication described
in the previous section. This remote I/O module shall be powered off the MV UPS for reliability reasons.
Provisions shall be made to install the interface as close as possible to the main BMS with wiring done
as per project-specific schematics. Please refer to latest revision of schematic 2UCD000500E356
