3.4.3. Transport by crane
Sections are equipped with lifting angles to enable
unloading and positioning using a crane. Do not fasten
any
lifting device directly to the vertical sections. Lift only using
the lifting angles located on the outer corners
of each
section. If lifting angles can be removed after the section is
in position. If you remove the lifting angles,
replace the
bolts; do not leave the bolt holes open.
Transportation by crane must comply with the ASME
B30
Safety Standards Committee for Cableways, Cranes,
Derricks, Hoists, Hooks, Jacks, and Slings.
For transport by crane, the shipping units are equipped
with
lifting angles.
Shipping units with one, two or three sections are equipped
with single angles on each corner of every
shipping section.
Frame corner joint with lifting angle
Tilting danger signs must not be removed before all cubicles
have been secured to the foundation.
Do not put the switchgear down on one edge, because of
the
danger of considerable mechanical damage.
Sling placement on SG

Lift units from the four outside corners

Fastening of any lifting device directly to the frame
sections is not permitted.
Sling minimum angle
Sling leg angle should not be more than 120°
Correct hook engagement on lifting eye

When installing the sling hooks, the hook should
always
be pointing to the outside of the load and
not to the
center of the load.

The lifting angles may be removed after the
switchgear
has been erected.
