3 Unpacking, inspection and storing
3.1 Removing transport packaging
Delivered products under Relay Retrofit Program for SPACOM to REX615 consist of:
• REX615 protection and control relay with retrofit connector kit.
• 2 meters long 6 mm

protective earth lead with a ring-lug in both ends suitable
for a M4 screw.
• 4 pcs of M3 x 8 mm screw T10 (for the X100 and X110 connectors).
• Installation support frame (optional)
These all items require careful handling. See also the REX615 Installation Manual for
information related to unpacking, inspection and storing of protection relay.
1. Examine the delivered products to ensure that they have not been damaged
during the transport.
2. Remove the transport packaging carefully without force.
3.2 Inspecting product and delivery items
3.2.1 Identifying product
1. Locate the protection relay's order number from the label on top of the plug-in
unit.
2. Compare the protection relay and all deliverables’ order numbers with the
ordering information to verify that the received products are correct.
