7.3.5 Cable test equipment (ENA version only)
Interlocked cable test equipment (Figure 98) is
provided on the front of each incoming/feeder unit.
Access to this equipment is obtained by earthing the
cable and opening the cable test access cover (Figure
99), thus removing the earth star point. The cover is
mechanically interlocked with the circuit-breaker and
the three-position disconnector in order to prevent
dangerous contacts with live parts.
Opening the cable test access cover reveals the test
points which are connected to the cables through the
circuit-breaker.
Note:
Before opening the cable test access cover, remove
the fuses or links of voltage transformers (if fitted)
(chapter 7.5).
