To access cable test points
WARNING
All the operations below must only be carried out
by qualified and skilled personnel with in-depth
knowledge of the apparatus.
Voltage applied during cable testing can damage
voltage transformers (if fitted). It is therefore
necessary to disconnect them from the circuit before
opening the cable test access cover. Procedure
described in (chapter 7.5) must be followed.
1. Remove the padlock from the cable test access
cover lever (Figure 100)A)
2. Pull down the lever (Figure 100)B) to FREE
position of the cable test access cover – see
position indicator on the front cover.
3. Before opening the cable test access cover fit a
padlock on the cable test access cover lever in
FREE position – see again position indicator on
the front cover (Figure 100)C)
4. Open the cable test access cover (Figure 100)D)
5. Connect the cable test equipment to the test
points, as required, and carry out the test
