You may need to develop logs or modify existing templates to document the performance and review of these
records. Please call the ACCU-CHEK Customer Care service center at 1-800-440-3638 for a sample template.
When reviewing results from these manual logs, keep in mind the following points:
• "Missing" results may have been performed but not documented.
• It is up to the operator to ensure that the control result is in range.
• Meter results cannot be used to reconcile manual log entries. This would be using the meter as a data
storage device which is not recommended in a multiple resident environment.
• Reasons for not using meter results to reconcile manual log entries include:
-Multiple meters may have been used to run glucose tests entered on one log
-Meter results have no resident identifiers linked with the results
-Meter results from control samples may not have been flagged as a control test at the time the test was
performed
