7.3.2.2. Flow Calibration Table Example
Below is an example of a ow calibration table that will be displayed using the Display All Settings or
Display FlowCal Info menu items. The values in the ow calibration table can be analyzed and veried in
order to determine if another ow calibration is required. If multiple ow calibrations have been performed
and still there are issues, please contact AethLabs.

7.3.3. Test Flow Procedure
The on-board user interface on the front of the microAeth can be used to test ow setpoints and see what
the internal owmeters are reading in DualSpot or SingleSpot mode. Please note that the external owmeter
of the microAeth MA Series Flow Calibration Kit or other low backpressure external owmeter is not needed
to use this feature but is needed to verify the internal measured ow readings against an external standard.
1) If checking the internal measured ow of the microAeth to an external standard, connect the outlet port
of the external owmeter to the inlet port of the microAeth.
2) Make sure that all connections are tight and sealed so that no leaks are present.
3) Use the left and right buttons of the microAeth to scroll through the top level menu options to the 'Test
Flow' option.
4) Press the center button of the microAeth to select the ‘Test Flow’ option.
5) Use the left and right buttons of the microAeth to scroll to the desired target ow of 50, 75, 100, 125, or
150 ml/min. The screen will display the following depending if the microAeth is in SingleSpot or DualSpot
mode:

NOTE: To use the test ow feature in the desired SingleSpot or DualSpot mode, this sampling mode setting
must rst be changed using the microAeth Manager software connected to the microAeth by USB.
6) Use the left and right buttons to change the target ow at any time. Allow the microAeth a few seconds
to adjust pump speed and for the ow to become stable.
7) The measured ow can be viewed over time as there will be uctuations. The measured ow can also
be compared against the external owmeter of the MA Series Flow calibration Kit that has its outlet port
connected to the inlet port of the microAeth. Only compatible low backpressure external owmeters should
be used.
8) Press the center button to exit the test ow feature.
